Instant rasam 

from ready-made "instant rasam powder" and "tamarind paste" :

1)    Take half cup water in a small vessel..

2)    Add 1/4th spoon of tamarind paste

3)    Mix tamarind paste well in water..  

4)    Add,-
       a)  1/2 spoon of Instant rasam powder and 
       b)  1/4th spoon of salt. 

5)    Slice 1 tomato into 8 pieces

6)    Add these sliced tomato pieces to the instant rasam ingredient water mixture.

7)    Place the vessel on stove

8)    Allow the instant rasam mixture to boil.. 

9)    See if the instant rasam mixture has boiled and become shrunk in volume a little. 

10)  If yes, add 1/2 cup of water to the boiled instant rasam mixture

11)  See if the instant rasam mixture has burst forth with froth on top.

12)  Switch off the stove.

Your instant rasam is ready now...
